There are 4 of these American BBQ restaurant plotted around London; Soho, Clapham, Fulham and Tower Hill. The Tower Hill was my go to restaurant for 3 years when I worked close by and I still meet friends here and in all that time I had never tried their burger. Their signature pulled pork and burnt ends are so good here I don't think I had looked at a menu since about 2010.
I had read a few reviews of the burger here and it wasn't pretty, but as always I tried to go in with no expectations.
I ordered the 8oz burger with added bacon and cheese, with a 1/4 pound chili beef hot dog as a side :) I was hungry. We used our qcard's(get one if you don't have one) and got half a dozen diablo buffalo chicken wings as a starter free.
MEAT - They know how to cook their meat, perfectly pink inside and a good flavour as well.
TOPPINGS - The salad in particular didn't look the best and the lettuce seemed to be part of another meal but it was but it was fresh and crisp . There wasn't enough bacon or cheese added however both had good flavour.
SIDES – Average chips, but their BBQ sauce could push anything onto another level. A great selection of sides here and I have been sampled most of them. The coleslaw can be a bit hit and miss, but the corn bread muffins and BBQ beans hit the spot every time.
The burger was a lot better then I was expecting but if you're going to Bodeans and not getting some pulled pork and burnt ends, you need your head examined.
