With good reviews a plenty my excitement was at boiling point, let alone being driving on the famous Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood with a cool 80oC sun beating down. I dont imagine there are many better settings for a stop off for some lunch then here famous Comme ça restaurant.

The Comme ça Burger: A special blend of certified angus beef, vermont cheddar, pomme frites
MEAT - Faultless. You can really notice the difference in texture when the beef has been minced so you have a vertical bite through, the meat becomes as easy to bite through as a marshmellow. Cooked perfectly as requested and as expected with the reputation of David Myers establishment.
BUN - Quite poor unfortunately, the bun was very dry and with such little give made it an oversized bite needed. It was darker on top then I have usually seen in other reviews so maybe this was a rare mistake, you can see the dryness in the bite through especially on the top bun.
TOPPINGS - The cheddar was very tasty, strong and melted to perfection. A mound of lettuce dripping in a mayonnaise sauce which was really tasty but maybe a bit too much and a lot was lost whilst eating the burger.
SIDES – Fries were fine, there was a mountain of them though which was nice.
Definitely worth the trip as its a lovely restaurant in a superb setting but the dry bun ultimately let this down unfortunately. Have $5.50 for parking next to the restaurant.
Overall Rating 8/10
