With so much on the menu it's rare that the quality of any cuisine will be good but they had a signature burger("Our best burger yet") so I had thought it would be decent enough for a pre cinema meal at the 02.

I asked the waiter for medium rare and he said he didn't think it was possible as the patty is put together off site, he then said he wouldn't trust these burgers to be cooked medium rare. I said to ask anyway and I hoped for the best......

MEAT - Disgusting - Heavily burnt, no taste and I'm not even 100% that it was meat, more like cardboard and bad tasting cardboard at that. I finished it but I'm not sure why I put myself through it. Just realised it was meant to be cajun spiced, obviously this was cremated off the burger. What made it worse was there was 2 of them! I was looking at the pictures on the way home and it made me feel physically sick.

What is this?
BUN - A standard sesame seed burger van bun but as you can see didn't last the meal. Not really the fault of the bun but if you want to add half a tub of mayo improve the bun.

TOPPINGS - Laughable. Grilled bacon, not grilled enough, stringy and ended up hanging from my mouth onto my chin. Red onion, not cut enough but fine otherwise. Lettuce was bruised and tasteless. Tomato reaffirmed my no tomato needed thoughts as well, as it was wet, tasteless and played its part in destroying the bun. I didn't taste any black pepper in the mayo sauce but there was a lot of it.

SIDES – Not many chips and what was there was quite poor also. Onion rings were inoffensive but like the chips no real flavour.

Fatpants tripple
The worst burger I have had since starting up this blog by far. It should be a criminal offence serving something this repulsive.

If you have to go here, do not get a burger. In fact, don't go here at all.

  1. I've had the exact same experience in F&Bs. A few years ago their burgers appeared hand-made and hade a nice bite, texture and flavour. On my last visit last year I was met with this reconstituted filth in a bun. All mushy and with a strange, indistinct meat flavour. I suspect a lot of mechanically recovered content in this burger.

  2. Just went there to have a burger with my partner, the prices where the same as Byron, though the burger was disgusting the service was excellent, I would highly recommend going to Byron instead, the food quality was awful.
