MEAT - No surprise here, good quality meat, cooked and seasoned perfectly as I have always found with Byron they know how to deliver a good meat patty.
BUN - The same bun as used on the last special I believe. Soft, firm and fresh all the factors I need in a bun, and again perfect for the burger.
A tidal wave of flavours starting with the firm salty dry bacon and then the hit of guacamole, made with avocado, coriander, tomato, red pepper, garlic and lime; you really can taste all these flavours; unquestionably the best guacamole I have ever tasted. Then there were the pickled onions which I was dubious about, but they really pack a tangy punch which brings the ensemble together.
SIDES – I went for skin on chips, onion rings and a vanilla malt - all faultless and the onion rings were especially crisp and tasty.
WOW! I have always had a very decent burger at Byron and was expecting the same but this was something special. The toppings here are up there with the best I have ever tasted on a burger and I really hope this is kept on the menu long term, if it isn't make sure you go before August 27th!
A perfect burger and I will be back again for this one.
